KIBISTANOLOSHA — THE BREAD OF LIFE Somali
We are a Somali Christian family, called by God to bring the message of Jesus Christ to Somali people in East Africa, and all around the world. We live and minister in Nairobi, Kenya, where we serve through social media outreach and a fellowship house that welcomes seekers, believers, and families in need of encouragement.
Our Journey to Christ and Calling to Ministry
Coming from a traditional Somali background, our lives were forever changed when God revealed to us the truth of the Gospel. Through dreams, Scripture, and personal encounters with God’s presence, we came to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Son of God, and the Savior of all who put their trust in Him.
Persecution, Imprisonment, and Escape
Choosing to follow Christ in Somalia came with great cost. Because of our faith, we experienced severe persecution. Both of us faced threats, rejection, pressure from the community, and even imprisonment for the sake of Christ. Yet God protected us and strengthened our faith even in the darkest moments.
Eventually, we were forced to flee Somalia for the safety of our lives and our children. By God’s mercy, we found refuge in Kenya, and it was here in Nairobi that the Lord began to rebuild our lives and shape our calling more clearly.
Our suffering became the seed of our ministry—because we know personally the pain, fear, and isolation many Somali believers face.
The meaning of our ministary name
John 6:35 — “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
This scripture became the foundation and name of our ministry: Kibistanolosha — The Bread of Life, because Jesus alone satisfies the deepest hunger of the human soul.
Our Calling to This Ministry
God placed a deep burden in our hearts for the Somali people—those searching for truth, and hope beyond fear. Having experienced persecution ourselves, we understand the spiritual, emotional, and cultural struggles faced by Somali Christians and seekers.
So we minister faithfully from two main spaces:
1. Social Media Outreach
We share Gospel teachings, devotions, testimonies, and encouragement in Somali and English. Many Somalis, both inside and outside Africa, reach out privately for prayer, discipleship, and spiritual guidance.
2. Our Fellowship House in Nairobi
Our home has become a safe, welcoming place where believers and seekers gather for prayer, worship, and Bible study. We disciple individuals and families, offer counseling, and create a community for those who feel alone in their faith.
Who We Serve
We primarily serve:
Somali seekers exploring Christianity
Somali Christian converts needing discipleship and support
Refugee families in spiritual or emotional crisis
Somali youth searching for identity and truth
Men and women needing prayer, counseling, or encouragement
Somali believers across the world who connect with us online
We believe every soul God brings to us is precious and worth investing in.

Our Vision and Heart

Strengthen Somali families in faith
Train future leaders who will continue the work
Reach unreached Somali communities globally
We believe that though the road is difficult, God is moving powerfully among the Somali people, and we are honored to be part of His work.
A Message From Our Hearts
We have walked through persecution, pain, and exile—yet God has turned our tears into a testimony. What the enemy meant for harm, God has used for His glory. Today we stand to declare that Jesus is the Bread of Life, and He is bringing hope to the Somali people.
We are humbled and grateful to serve Him together as a family
