Mission Statement:

Somali Christian Ministry exists to share the Good News of Jesus Christ among Somali people through evangelism, discipleship, community outreach, and biblical teaching, equipping believers to be strong in faith and active in ministry.

Core Objectives 

1. Evangelism
Reaching Somali individuals and families with the life-changing message of Jesus.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”

2. Discipleship and Bible Teaching
Helping new believers grow in faith through the Word of God and spiritual mentorship.

“Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

3. Church Planting
Establishing fellowships led by trained Somali believers grounded in Scripture.

“On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

4. Leadership Training
Raising up Somali pastors, evangelists, and teachers to lead with wisdom and boldness.

5. Community Transformation
Caring for physical and emotional needs while sharing Christ’s love.

Reaching Somalis globally through Christian content in their heart language.

Target Group:

Somali-speaking people in the Horn of Africa and the Somali diaspora worldwide.

What We Believe

(Non-Denominational Statement of Faith)

As a non-denominational Somali Christian ministry, we are united by the truth of God’s Word and the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are not affiliated with any single denomination, but we stand in agreement with the core teachings of the historic Christian faith.

1. The Bible is the Word of God

We believe the Holy Scriptures (Old and New Testaments) are the inspired, infallible, and final authority in all matters of faith and life.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

2. One True God – Trinity

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19

3. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name… by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12

4. Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe people are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ—not by works or religion, but by trusting in Him alone.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8-9

5. The Holy Spirit Empowers Believers

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, guiding, empowering, and transforming them to live for Christ and serve His purposes.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” — Acts 1:8

6. The Church is the Body of Christ

We believe all true believers in Christ are members of one global Church, called to love one another, worship God, and share the Gospel with the world.

“There is one body and one Spirit… one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” — Ephesians 4:4-5

7. The Return of Christ and Eternal Life

We believe Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead. Those who believe in Him will live forever with God; those who reject Him will face eternal separation.

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven… and so we will be with the Lord forever.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

As a ministry called to serve and reach the Somali community, Somali Christian Ministry is committed to:

  • Discipling new believers and planting house churches
  • Training Somali leaders to stand firm in the faith
  • Reaching thousands through media, ,and online tools
  • Supporting persecuted Christians and vulnerable families
